1.The Responsive Classroom: The whole focus of this classroom is on the importance of creating a community of learners, following the philosophy of The Responsive Classroom, developed by the Northeast Foundation for Children.

2. We Teach Who We Are: This is a chance for teachers to do self-examination! We never talk about how who the teacher is affects what occurs in the classroom and it's an often overlooked factor in resolving classroom issues. In this workshop, we spend time identifying the TEACHER'S learning style----is he/she right or left brained? What is his/her modality of learning---auditory, visual, or kinetic? And are you a male or a female? What does the most recent research teach us about this and the fact that we teach in the style that WE like to learn---but what about all of the students who are different from our way of learning?
